About the Company: 
Galactic has partnered with the leading provider of Home Care Assistance in New Jersey. They are looking for a Senior Data Analyst for their team. 

The Sr. Data Analyst (Data Quality Engineer) has the primary responsibility to support the data warehouse in BigQuery and ensure that data is accurate and available for reporting, analytics, and other stakeholders. Our ideal candidate for the Sr. Data Analyst is experienced in making sense of data thru performing data analysis using sql queries and then creating structures that are easy to understand and use for reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing Data Quality monitoring systems and alerts
• Creating new tables and views in BigQuery for analytics and reporting
• Reconciling metrics in existing tables and views
• Troubleshooting data related issues or inconsistencies in reports
• Finding and resolving data quality problems
• Performing data discovery on new sources of data being brought into the data warehouse
• Creating data dictionaries and other documentation
• Creating and updating shared data sources on Tableau Server
• Ad-hoc data pulls for export to internal and external partners

Education And/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Data Science or related field
• 8+ years data warehousing and/or business intelligence

Technical Skills:

• 5+ years SQL scripting with advanced SQL skills including DML
• Minimum 1 year experience with Google BigQuery or other cloud database
• 3+ years experience database and/or data pipeline development experience
• Bitbucket or other version control
• Experience with GCP Data Fusion tool preferred
• sFTP, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence and Freshdesk tools a plus
• some Tableau experience a plus
